Recently, Insightchemy Technology, a company founded by Tian Yang, a doctoral student in the research group, completed an angel financing round of several million RMB from MiraclePlus. At the same time, Insightchemy Technology officially launched its AI chemistry software platform (https://insightchemy.com), which provides technical support for AI-enabled chemical design, synthetic route planning, functional molecule discovery, and chemical product transactions.
Insightchemy Technology focuses on the field of “AI + chemistry” and is committed to building a C2M platform for AI-enabled chemical design and sales. Based on its self-developed database and hybrid expert-system AI algorithms, the company aims to explore human-synthesizable chemical space in a stable, efficient, interpretable, and computationally cost-effective manner. On this basis, it conducts molecular design, opportunity discovery, and industrial translation. Through the development of AI chemistry software and a chemical product design platform, the company seeks to lower the barrier to applying AI algorithms in chemistry and promote the use of artificial intelligence in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and materials science.
At present, Insightchemy Technology has developed platform capabilities in molecular design, synthetic route planning, reaction identification, molecular management, and functional molecule discovery. The newly launched software platform includes modules for forward synthesis design, retrosynthetic analysis, Chemeye literature-based opportunity discovery, molecular management, and molecular uploading, providing support for researchers and enterprise users in molecular design and chemical product development.
Tian Yang, a doctoral student in the research group, serves as the founder and CEO of Insightchemy Technology. Fan Xiaoyu, also a doctoral student in the research group, serves as the company’s CTO. Drawing on their interdisciplinary backgrounds in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and artificial intelligence, they are actively exploring the application and translation of AI technologies across the chemical industry chain.
The angel investment from MiraclePlus and the launch of the software platform mark a new stage in Insightchemy Technology’s development in AI chemistry algorithm research, platform construction, and industrial application. The research group will continue to encourage students to pursue interdisciplinary innovation in response to national industrial needs and to promote the practical application of artificial intelligence in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and materials science.
Faculty members, students, researchers, and collaborating institutions with interests in molecular design, synthetic route planning, reaction identification, and functional molecule discovery are welcome to visit the Insightchemy Technology AI chemistry software platform, try its functions, and provide valuable feedback.
